PORTOBELO – historical drama
In 17th-century Portobelo, a thriving Spanish port, immigrant blacksmith Aureliano Baro loses his wife in a tragic accident and his son to marauders. Unable to face his grief, he buries himself in relentless pursuit of wealth, ruthlessly building an empire – arming both sides, betraying allies, driving settlers off their land – clinging to success as a shield against his pain.
Years later, a ruined rival seeks revenge, sending an imposter to pose as Aureliano’s lost son and dismantle him from within. But when the deception collapses in tragedy, Aureliano believes his son has finally returned—only to be lost forever.
Realizing his wealth could never heal his pain, Aureliano sets fire to his plantation empire and retreats into the jungle to surrender to his grief. But in his darkest moment, his real son returns – bringing back the love he lost, a final chance at healing.
