Andrew Corless is a graduate of UCLA’s Professional Program in Screenwriting and a Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist, with 20 years of filmmaking experience spanning development, production, and representation.
He interned for producer Ted Hope, was mentored by Oscar-nominated editor Susan E. Morse, and wrote original screenplays for producer René Bastian (Oscar-nominated Transamerica) and Gotham Award-winning producer Andrew Corkin.
With a background in business (Western University, Canada) and acting (Vancouver Film School), he brings a strategic and performance-driven approach to storytelling.
He is currently promoting Portobelo (here), his first historical drama, crafted for the awards-contending prestige market.
“Andrew…listens well, asks intelligent questions, has a positive attitude, is always eager to learn more and thinks outside the box…but I remember most vividly our discussions of character development and story structure.”
– Susan E. Morse, Academy Award-nominated editor
