Andrew Corless is a screenwriter whose work combines emotional precision with philosophical and thematic ambition. He was mentored by Oscar-nominated editor Susan E. Morse, interned under acclaimed producer Ted Hope, and has developed original material for René Bastian (Oscar-nominated Transamerica) and Gotham Award-winning producer Andrew Corkin (An Oversimplification of Her Beauty).

A graduate of UCLA’s Professional Program in Screenwriting and a Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist, he studied acting at the Vancouver Film School and holds a BA in Business from Western University in Canada. His diverse foundation grounds his storytelling in both creative and practical insight.

He is currently promoting Portobelo (here),  his first historical drama, crafted for the awards-contending prestige market.

“Andrew…listens well, asks intelligent questions, has a positive attitude, is always eager to learn more and thinks outside the box…but I remember most vividly our discussions of character development and story structure.”

Susan E. Morse, Academy Award-nominated editor
